Take a refreshing swim in our beautiful lake from the shore, off the dock or from the pontoon in deep water for floating fun
At the end of a hard day, take the family for a relaxing pontoon ride around the lake. A Pontoon boat is included at each home for your exclusive use and enjoyment.
There is no greater joy than to teach the kids how to fish off our dock
Enjoy the laughter, conversation and games on our decks overlooking the lake or from the patios next to the shore
Gather around the firepit for story-telling and s’mores (there is usually firewood)
Find a nook to relax with your favorite book inside or on the Adirondack chairs outside
Push your kids or sweetie on the swings of our Rainbow Play System swingset (or let the kids play while you and your sweetie sip a glass of your favorite wine!)
Have your gourmet cook whip up something special in the gourmet kitchens or on the Weber BBQ grill….or order in!
Curl up in front of our Smart TV for a group movie night. Bring a blanket or use one of ours.
Organize a family ping pong, horseshoe, bocce ball or croquet competition to determine the world champion - or at least the family champion. (There is always another chance to reclaim the title - we have openings for next year.)
Sleep in. Grandma will watch the kids — she likes them. You can get them back in line tomorrow.
Fire up the grill for an evening of steaks or brats, grilled veggies and peaches (yum, delicious.)
The kids are on vacation too: take them to the waterpark, play on the Rainbow Systems or let them play hide and seek around the property. We love to hear children having fun — at least until 10 p.m.!
EXPLORE THE AREA
Be as active as you choose when you stay in with us! Alexandria has a population of 12,000, and the Central Minnesota area offers all of the activities and entertainment you could want during your time away.

Stroll downtown or nearby towns for hundreds of shops in the Alexandria lakes area. If it’s there, you’ll find it! Be sure to visit the Sugar Shack for candy and ice cream (9) Facebook , Cherry Street bookstore Cherry Street Books – Good Books to Read and other unique shops.
Dine out at an Alexandria area restaurant. The area has most chain restaurants, including Starbucks and Caribou, as well as some outstanding locally owned restaurants including Garden Bar on 6th, Lure Lake Bar, Zorbaz, and Leaf Valley Mercantile.
Take your young kids to Brophy County Park. Huge playground and beach area! Check out their summer outdoor music concerts!
Cycle on one of our multiple bike trails or mountain bike at Brophy County Park
Go paddle-boating, paddle boarding or “paddle Madeline” home
See a summer theater production at Theatre Le Homme Dieu Theatre L'Homme Dieu (tlhd.org). Nominated for 16 Regional Broadway World Awards in 2023.
Capture this trip with family photos taken by yourself or a professional photographer at our lake home or in town with the “Big Ole” Viking statue.
If it’s winter season, glide along while ice skating, downhill or cross-country skiing, sledding, fishing, building a snowman or making snow angels. Then enjoy some hot cocoa in front of the fireplace. Please ask for recommendations, happy to help!
On a rare rainy day, try bowling at Garden Center Lanes or catch a movie at the Midway 9 movie theater.
